Soothing Aroma (Vayikra)

Chris Shannon teaches on the sacrifices in the Torah portion, Vayikra, that are described as producing “a soothing aroma” as compared to those that do not produce this effect. The ultimate sacrifice of Messiah was one of these, as are our sacrifices as described in the New Testament.
Spring Feast Dates!
Happy New Year! The new moon was sighted in the early evening on March 25 making March 26 the Rosh Chodesh, or Head of the Month. Furthermore, the barley was observed as “Aviv,” at a stage near ripening, in Israel yesterday making this new month the first month of the new year. Accordingly, here are the dates for the upcoming Spring feasts, or high holy days:
- April 8 – Passover, or Pesach
- The Passover Seder will be held by online streaming only, at 7:00 pm, live from Ariel for everyone to follow along with at home.
- April 9 – 1st Day of Unleavened Bread (starting at sunset on April 8)
- 11:00 am service streamed online only
- April 15 – 7th Day of Unleavened Bread (starting at sunset on April 14)
- 11:00 am service streamed online only
- May 31 – Shavuot (Weeks, or Pentacost, starting at sunset on May 30)
- 11:00 am service
